**Bike Rental Policies**

The customer here by rents bicycles from Corinth Rent-A-Bike, subject to all terms and conditions of this agreement:

  • Definitions
    • “Bicycle Owner” shall mean Corinth Rent a bike, its successors and assigns or any agent or other person acting on behalf of and with the authority of Corinth Rent-A-Bike.
    • “Bike Hirer” shall mean the Bike Hirer or any person acting on behalf of and with the authority of the Bike Hirer.
    • “Equipment” shall mean Bikes and/or any other Equipment supplied on hire by the Bicycle Owner to the Bike Hirer (and where the context so permits shall include any supply of services) and is as described on the invoices, quotation, authority to hire, or any other work authorisation forms as provided by the Bicycle Owner to the Bike Hirer.
    • “Minimum Hire Period” shall mean the Minimum Hire Period as described on the invoices, quotation, authority to hire, or any other forms as provided by the Bicycle Owner to the Bike Hirer.
    • “Rental Price” shall mean the cost of the hire of the Equipment as agreed between the Bicycle Owner and the Bike Hirer subject to clause 3 of this contract.

  • Acceptance
    • Any instructions received by the Bicycle Owner from the Bike Hirer for the hire of Equipment and/or the Bike Hirer’s acceptance of Equipment supplied on hire by the Bicycle Owner shall constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions contained herein.
    • Where more than one Bike Hirer has entered into this agreement, the Bike Hirers shall be jointly and severally liable for all payments of the Rental Price.
    • Upon acceptance of these terms and conditions by the Bike Hirer the terms and conditions are irrevocable and can only be amended with the written consent of the Bicycle Owner.
  • Bookings
    • You can book our bikes through our website www.corinth-rentabike.gr
    • Corinth Rent a Bike rents bikes only with prior booking. Rental day period starts at 9:00h and ends at 18:00h.
      • If your booking consist more than 40 bikes, please contact us directly at info@corinth-rentabike.gr instead of using the online booking form.
      • If your group consists between 20 and 50 bikes, the booking has to be made no later than 10 working days prior the booking.
      • If the group consists more than 50 bikes, the booking needs to be made no later than 30 working days prior the booking.
    • Bicycles must be collected, personally. Delivery and pick‐up of bicycles can be requested. Delivery and pick up to other areas carry a charge.
    • The client acknowledges that Corinth Rent-A-bike will do its best to deliver and pick up from locations at agreed upon times, but force majeure or other exceptional circumstances (unusual traffic en route to drop‐off or delivery) may cause delays.
    • The client agrees to adhere to delivery and pick‐up times themselves and authorize Corinth Rent-A-Bike to charge their credit card if meeting times are not met and additional expenses are incurred due to renter lateness (i.e. staff time, etc).
    • If there are changes to the pick‐up location or time once the rental has started this must be communicated by confirmed email or direct telephone contact at least 48 hours before the bicycles are returned.
    • The bicycles will be delivered and picked up on the day and time according to the booking or rental agreement. Customer delays, both on delivery and pick up of bikes, without notifying Corinth Rent a Bike, will result in an additional charge of 10€ if delivery & pick up service must be re‐programmed plus the corresponding delivery and pick up charge.
    • Participants must read and sign the Release from Liability Agreement prior to rental.
    • A credit card and valid driver’s license or passport is required for rental deposit.
    • Helmets and locks are provided for free with rental. Helmets are required for all participants under the age of 18.
    • The renter must be 18 years of age or older to rent equipment. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign the Release from Liability for them.

Payment, Deposit and Cancellation

  • Method of payment: Credit/Debit card ‐ Payment for the rented items is required to be made in full prior to the delivery date, online at Corinth Rent a Bike’s web page www.corinth-rentabike.gr
    • Instructions on how to use this service are available on the same web page.
    • All Rental Prices are inclusive of V.A.T.
    • The reservation is only confirmed once Corinth Rent-A-Bike has sent a receipt of the payment via E‐mail.
  • On delivery of the bike/s the customer must read, accept and sign the rental agreement.
  • The customer will be asked for his/her passport details along with credit card details as a guarantee deposit for the rented equipment.
  • A deposit is required when taking delivery of the bicycle(s)
    • The deposit can be either held on a credit card, or made in cash
    • The deposit is €100 for up to 3 bikes
  • At the end of the rental period, the customer accepts the charges for any missing or broken items at market prices which will be charged to their credit card.
  • The deposit will be refunded if the rented equipment is returned in the same conditions it was procured. If the missing or broken items exceed the deposit amount, the customer must settle the balance.
  • All cancellations must be received in writing via confirmed email.
  • Cancellation fees for all bike rentals and associated services:
    • Cancellations without charge are only admitted 15 working days before the scheduled delivery time.
    • Cancellations made within 15 working days of the delivery date are charged in full.
    • Reservation no shows are charged in full and considered non‐refundable. Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason.
    • No refund or credit will be made, for any given reason, for cancellations within 15 working days, early return of the bicycles or for cancellations of guided training tours.
    • The client understands and accepts that Corinth Rent-A-bike is not responsible for the client’s personal circumstances, sicknesses, weather conditions or any event outside of Corinth Rent-A-bike’s direct control nor force majeure and can therefore not accept refund or credit requests made by the client for any of the above reasons.
    • Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason.
    • The Bicycle Owner may cancel these terms and conditions or cancel delivery of Equipment at any time before the Equipment is delivered by giving written notice.
    • On giving such notice the Bicycle Owner shall repay to the Bike Hirer any sums paid in respect of the Rental Price.
    • The Bicycle Owner shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatever arising from such cancellation.

Rental Equipment 

  • Corinth Rent a Bike confirms that all its bicycles are presented to customers in an immaculate working order set up by professional mechanics and whilst Corinth Rent a Bike accepts general wear and tear during hire, any rental equipment returned with excessive cleaning needs will incur a 10€ charge to the client.
  • Defects
    • The Bike Hirer shall inspect the Equipment on delivery and shall immediately notify the Bicycle Owner of any alleged defect, shortage in quantity, damage or failure to comply with the description or quote.
    • The Bike Hirer shall afford the Bicycle Owner an opportunity to inspect the Equipment within a reasonable time following delivery if the Bike Hirer believes the Equipment is defective in any way.
    • If the Bike Hirer shall fail to comply with these provisions the Equipment shall be presumed to be free from any defect or damage.
    • For defective Equipment the Bicycle Owner’s liability is limited to, at the consumer’s discretion either a refund of the hire Rental Price of the Equipment, or repair of the Equipment, or replacement of the Equipment.
  • The rented bicycles and equipment may only be used by the designated customer and the members of his/her party as mentioned in the Rental Contract.
  • The customer is obliged to take good care of the rented equipment and to protect it from damage, loss or theft.
  • In case of damage, loss or theft of the bicycle/s, components or any of its parts, Corinth Rent a Bike will charge the customer the full cost of the missing items at market prices.
  • Bikes are rented with a high security lock and the customer is obliged to lock the bicycle/s properly at all times when unattended, passing the lock through the frame and attaching the bike(s) to something fixed to the ground like a post or fence, if allowed, or else, a bicycle parking. It is highly recommended to keep the bikes secured at all times especially during over‐night rentals.
  • No Warranty is provided by the Bicycle Owner in respect of the condition of the Equipment or its fitness for any particular purpose.
  • The Bike Hirer shall indemnify and hold harmless the Bicycle Owner in respect of all claims arising out of use of the Equipment.

Limitation of Liability 

  • Corinth Rent a Bike has procured itself with proper third party liability insurance coverage of the bicycle rental activity. Corinth Rent a Bike is not responsible for injury or damages caused to/by the client during the hire period.
  • The customer is responsible for adequate personal insurance coverage for risks that may occur during the rental period. Corinth Rent a Bike is not liable for any claims for body injury or harm, accidents or loss of personal belonging caused by weather, sickness, or any other causes whatsoever beyond the control of Corinth Rent a Bike.
  • Participants must comply with all traffic laws and ride with caution.
  • We ask that cameras and cell phones not be operated while riding due to safety concerns.
  • Any ticket or fine due to incorrect use of the bicycle will be completely assumed by the customer.
